Jeanette Felton

Managing Director

Jeanette is the Managing Director. She established Stages in 2000 as the demand for work experience in the UK became increasingly seen as a "must have" for young Europeans. Her previous background was in the travel business, corporate training and teaching. Jeanette is actively involved in all aspects of the programme, as well as collaborating with universities and language schools around Europe.

Amy Chau Nguyen

Finance Officer

Amy qualified as a certified bookkeeper from The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers in 2007. She spent the next 5 years working with various accountancy practices. With Amy’s extensive experience she is now responsible for all of Stages invoicing and host family payments.

Claire Rowsell


Accommodation Manager

Claire looks after the host families, checking for quality provision and is very involved with the evaluation process. This feedback provides valuable information from which Stages can continue to improve its service. Her responsibilities include maintaining good relationships with the host families and ensuring the students welfare here in Brighton remains a priority. Claire has an extensive background in administration and retail and so good customer care is second nature.

Sophie Cox


Placement Manager

Sophie is our Placement Manager. She is responsible for organising work placements for our students, building and maintaining relationships with businesses across Brighton and Hove. Sophie has several years of experience working in Education and Training, working as a Business Development Manager, managing key accounts and delivering customer care. Sophie’s priority is to ensure our students enjoy their placement experience and the companies we work with continue to provide excellent placements. She is always interested in speaking to new businesses who wish come on board!

Rebecca Harrison


Reservations & Sales Manager

Rebecca is our Reservations & Sales Manager and is responsible for booking work experience programmes, answering enquiries from individuals and agents and finding new companies for us to work with. Her role also involves maintaining good relationships with our agents and overseas colleges. She has many years’ experience working in language school administration and has a background in English language teaching. Having lived and worked abroad herself, she understands some of the challenges that poses for our interns. Rebecca is also our Safeguarding Officer.
