Do I need a visa for a STAGES work experience?
If you come from an EU-member country or Switzerland, you do not need a visa or work permit. However, if you come from a non-EU country, you need a student visa for your work placement.  

What level does my English language need to be?   Minimum level to start a work experience through STAGES is Intermediate. Upper Intermediate or higher is preferred.

What type of accommodation should I choose?   Staying with an English host family is a great way to save money and to learn more about everyday life in Britain , as well as to improve your English language skills.   House sharing is also an option, but we would recommend staying with a host family until you feel settled in Brighton and your work placement.
